awhile ago
i tried to tally up
every color
i could possibly think of
and then i made it
my life's goal to try
to find each one
of those colors
somewhere in the sky

now days have come
and all of them have gone
compared to where i started
my list is not nearly as long

eventually
it became apparent to me
when i find my last color
i will cease to be

i will no longer be alive
and to fight it's no use
i have only one thing to say
thank god for chartreuse
